On 20 Shrawan 2063 (5 Aug 2006), the national assembly of registered auditors was held in Kathmandu which majorly discussed the protection and conservation of professional rights and benefits of the auditors, which was also inclusive of the professional development of all the auditors in Nepal. As the assembly felt an urgent and dire need for an association that catered to the issues of the underrepresented auditors of Nepal, the Auditor’s Association of Nepal (AUDAN) was formed. To carry out those sorts of functions making use of a formal channel, the assembly formally approved further actions on the organization.
Ever since the association registered with the Labor and Employment Management Department on 8 Mangsir 2063 (24 Nov 2006), it has been functioning actively and effectively through every nook and corner of the nation. With the slogan of ‘Unity is the Strength.’ we are able to bind together more than 7 thousand registered auditors who have been actively participating across 63 districts of the country.
The association functions as a pioneer institution for all the Registered Auditors of the nation. The activities performed by the organization mainly concern the continuous professional development of its members. Before there was a surge in the number of Chartered Accountants in the country, Registered Auditors were the only ones who had a professional involvement in the field of Auditing. Those professionals have immensely contributed to the financial development of the nation over the years with their involvement in various functions such as auditing, accounting and other functionality related to the profession in several organizations and institutions of the nation.
AUDAN always stands tall in the frontier for the safeguard of rights and benefits, professional disparity while also focusing on capability enhancement of all the registered auditors. The organization also is seeking partners who can aid in achieving the organization's objective.
